It is unofficial, and distributed only by Homeworld fans, as same as the Homeworld: Cataclysm Soundtrack and the Homeworld 2 Soundtrack. I also recommend you to get the Relic Community Homeworld Soundtrack 2.0 based on in-game files extracted from the HW_Music.wxd archive. The MP3 in the download section is an actual rip of the scarce soundtrack CD that was released, so the quality of the music is a lot better than that of the files that can be extracted from the game itself after install. The whole collection can be extracted from the game files themselves, then converted for easier playback. ![]() ![]() ![]() Like the first game in the series, it was created by Relic Entertainment and published by Sierra Entertainment. The soundtrack on the Game of the Year Edition, 44.14 minutes in length, does not contain all the background audio used in the game, omitting the audio used in Animatics and Non-interactive sequences. Homeworld 2 is the third game in the Homeworld series, following on from Homeworld and Homeworld: Cataclysm. In 1999, the game’s soundtrack had been awarded the title of that year’s Best Soundtrack by PCGamer and Eurogamer. It was the only soundtrack to be released on a separate CD in the Homeworld series of games. This is the soundtrack to Homeworld composed by Paul Ruskay and featuring the choral version of “ Adagio for Strings” by Samuel Barber, the CD was released with Homeworld’s Game Of The Year Edition in the year 2000.
